Moovbox F100 :: Single WAN Fixed Broadband Gateway
The Moovbox F100 Gateway is an outdoor Wi-Fi access point and cellular router that leverages next-generation wide area data networks to deliver Internet access over Wi-Fi and Ethernet without the need for a wired network.
The Moovbox F100 offers mobile carriers, Internet service providers, systems integrators and public safety organisations a simplified way to deploy campus or city-wide wireless clouds for Internet access from any Wi-Fi device. Furthermore, it simultaneously delivers wireless Ethernet connectivity enabling devices such as IP CCTV cameras and other IP devices to be connected securely to the Internet indoors and out. The Moovbox F100 is simply the fastest way to create Wi-Fi zones wherever there is wireless data network coverage.
Rugged yet Flexible Design
The rugged IP67 weatherproof enclosure is designed for outdoor environments and includes a tilt-and-swivel bracket for easy deployment on street furniture - such as lamp columns - or buildings. The F100 supports a wide range of third party WAN radios[1] in PCMCIA/CardBus and ExpressCard formats, at frequencies from 450MHz to 870MHz (FLASH-OFDM), 850MHz to 2.1GHz (3G UMTS/HSPA), 1.7GHz (HC-SDMA), 2.3-2.5GHz and 3.4-3.6GHz (TD-CDMA & WiMAX), and 4.9GHz (US Public Safety).
Fully-Featured Operator-Class Access Point
The Moovbox contains a commercial-grade access point featuring multiple SSIDs, 802.1q VLANs, captive portal, QoS, as well as 802.1X and WISPr-compliant RADIUS authentication and billing, enabling it to be deployed in free or pay-per-use environments such as public hotspots and hotzones, or in corporate or municipal settings where user authentication is essential. Security features include WPA with AES TKIP (802.11i), as well as NAT and DHCP. The Moovbox can be remotely administered and updated over the air via the moovAdmin™ secure web interface.
Inbound VPN Tunneling for Remote Access
The Moovbox F100 supports the Fleet Connect VPN tunneling implementation for remote access. The F100 features an integrated mobile VPN client that establishes and maintains a tunnel to a remote VPN server [2], and enables bidirectional communication over carrier networks even in cases where a static IP address is not available. Using this tunnel, the Moovbox and devices connected to its Ethernet port can be remotely accessed and controlled. For example, H.264 video from IP-CCTV cameras and DVRs can be securely streamed live where uplink bandwidth permits.
